QUEST is inviting applications for the 2020/21 school year. QUEST is a not for profit, educational organization in Bermuda operating a Grades 3-12 private Christian school for gifted and talented learners.    

 

All applicants must hold a degree in the relevant disciplines, permits or certificates appropriate to meeting the needs of gifted and talented students, and be licensed with the Bermuda Educators Council. Additional requirements include the ability to differentiate instruction, use technology to integrate curriculum, co-teach, and design project-based activities.

Candidates must be committed to building healthy authentic relationships with students and their families as well as be able to work in a nontraditional learning environment.

QUEST is currently seeking:

Arts Integration Teachers

(2 positions)

Provide and deliver arts integrated lessons within thematic units of study. Experience with one or more of the arts disciplines (Performing and/or Visual/Digital Media Arts) and the ability to integrate the art form with the tested curriculum (International Studies, Language Arts, Mathematics or Science).  Certification in an arts discipline is as asset.

Teacher of Language Arts and International (Social) Studies

(1 position)

The successful candidates will be required to use technology to integrate Language Arts and International Studies for Grades 5 and 6 and facilitate and design project-based learning via the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC).  Additionally, the successful candidates will design and co-teach with Arts specialists per the weekly schedule, and facilitate showcases of student products and expeditions.

Candidates should be open to facilitate a dynamic, collaborative, student-driven, differentiated, accelerated curriculum where teachers design project-based learning activities. All instructional personnel are required to hold valid teaching credentials, be SCARS trained, have the  Bermuda Educators Council license, as well as the relevant permits or certificates appropriate to meeting the needs of gifted and talented students.


Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfaction of certain pre-employment verifications and clearances including, but not limited to, undergraduate degree verification, security vetting clearance, verification of eligibility to work in Bermuda, and successful completion of the QUEST Bonanza process (interview, differentiated lesson plan, project creation plan).

Teacher of Mathematics and Science

(1 position)

The successful candidates will be required to integrate STEM disciplines for Grades 5 and 6, and facilitate project-based learning via the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC). 


Additional requirements include proven ability to use technology for design (Coding, Robotics, 3D Printing, etc), and independent learning.  Experiential knowledge of Singapore Math would be an asset.  Teachers will co-teach in specific disciplines per the weekly schedule, as well as facilitate showcases of student products and expeditions.

Teachers of: Athletics, Bible, Drama, Dance, Digital Media/Visual Art, Gardening, and Vocal/ Instrumental Music

(7 positions, 1 per discipline)

All applicants for these posts must hold a degree in the discipline. Additional requirements include co-teaching with specific disciplines per the weekly schedule, collaboration of curriculum content in alignment with Performing Arts Standards, annual performing arts productions, showcases of student products and expeditions.
